Zamurd Khan, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, meets Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani



Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Sweet Home, Mr. Zamurd Khan, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, along with Mr. Shoaib Mehta, called on Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani today at Aiwan-e-Sadr. Mr. Gillani welcomed the efforts of Pakistan Sweet Home and emphasized the importance of continuing social welfare programs to support vulnerable communities across the country.

Mr. Zamurd Khan, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, recalled that Pakistan Sweet Home began in 2008, when Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani was Prime Minister, with just one internally displaced child. Since then, it has grown into a nationwide initiative for orphaned and underprivileged children.

He also briefed the Acting President about the Syeda Fatima Zahra Dastarkhwan, which provides free meals to more than 7,000 people daily. At present, relief camps have also been established in flood-affected areas, particularly in Multan and Shujabad, where thousands of victims are being provided meals every day, Alhamdulillah.

The Shujabad flood relief camp was launched with the full cooperation and guidance of the Acting President’s eldest son, MNA Syed Abdul Qadir Gillani. Mr. Abdul Qadir Gillani personally supervised the relief camps, ensuring daily distribution of food in all flood-affected areas.

Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani praised Mr. Zamurd Khan, Hilal-e-Imtiaz, for establishing the Syeda Fatima Zahra Dastarkhwan in flood-hit areas and for the initiative to provide free meals to thousands of people affected by the floods.
