Lower Dir- One student was killed and nine others injured as a school teacher car crashed students standing for assembly in a high school in the Lower Dir.
According to sources, School children were standing for assembly inside governmenthigh school of Timergara when all of sudden car of a school teacher hit the many children as the car went his control, killing on child and injuring 9 students. The deceased was identified as Samiullah.
The injured were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Timergara for treatment where three injured were said to be in critical condition. The teacher, Saleem Khan, was reportedly suffering from psychological disorders, lost control of his car breaking limbs of some of the pupils.
Following the accident, the police arrested the teacher and registered a case against him. The security officials also criticized the school authorities for allowing the culprit to teach, despite his deteriorating mental condition.
