Rawalpindi- Summer vacations in the government run schools at Rawalpindi has been cancelled in pursuance of orders of Punjab government in connection with Independence Day celebrations and anti-dengue campaign.
Heads of the schools have been directed to ensure attendance of the teachers and students in the respective schools. These celebrations will continue till 30th August and national flag will be hoisted on the buildings of all the state run schools on 14th August. Anti-dengue and cleanliness week will be observed from August, 4-9. School education department Rawalpindi has appointed deputy director monitoring as focal person besides seeking reports from district monitoring teams on day to day basis on this count.
