
VEHARI – Multan Division Commissioner Aamir Kareem Khan, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Vehari Imrana Tauqeer, paid an extensive visit to Burewala to inspect ongoing development projects, health initiatives, and sanitation efforts under various provincial programs. The visit commenced with the inauguration of a free medical camp at THQ Hospital, organised by Mukhtar A. Shaikh Memorial Hospital Multan. The Commissioner and DC Imrana Tauqeer jointly opened the camp, where specialist doctors provided free consultations and medicines. They interacted with patients, who appreciated the Punjab government and health officials for this valuable initiative. The delegation later assessed road development projects under the Punjab Cities Program. Detailed briefings were given on the construction of seven roads. Commissioner Aamir Khan directed that all work must meet quality standards and be completed within set deadlines. DC Imrana Tauqeer ensured that district administration is actively supervising these efforts for timely execution. At Govt Boys High School Azeemabad, both officials reviewed the “One Child, One Plant” campaign. Students shared their tree-planting efforts and commitment to wearing helmets. The Commissioner praised the students’ awareness, and DC Imrana Tauqeer emphasised the importance of instilling civic responsibility in youth. The visit continued to Murzi Pura, where the team reviewed the “Suthra Punjab Program.” Commissioner Khan and DC Imrana Touqeer inspected temporary waste collection points and issued instructions for improvements. They stressed that sanitation must remain a top priority and no negligence would be tolerated. In a meeting at the Municipal Committee Office, city beautification plans were discussed in detail. DC Imrana Touqeer played an active role in reviewing updates on road repairs, removal of encroachments, and aesthetic enhancements. The Commissioner appreciated her commitment to urban development.
Speaking to the media, Commissioner Aamir Khan acknowledged the support and leadership of DC Imrana Touqeer, noting that the district administration is fully aligned with the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to improve health, cleanliness, and infrastructure across the region.The visit was also attended by former MNA Chaudhry Nazir Ahmed Arain, former MPA Sardar Khalid Mahmood Dogar, ADC Finance Muzaffar Khan, AC Burewala Malik Farooq Ahmed, and other senior officials.
