Interloop continues to play critical role in driving country’s export growth

ISLAMABAD  –  Interloop Limited, one of the world’s largest vertically integrated textile manufacturers and a leading garment exporter from Pakistan, continues to play a critical role in driving the country’s export growth. With an annual revenue exceeding USD 500 million, the company contributes significantly to Pakistan’s overall export earnings, reflecting the strength and potential of the textile sector. In its ongoing transformation to become a fully integrated clothing company aligned with global best practices, Interloop has partnered with SAP to implement the SAP Ariba Source-to-Contract Suite.

The transformation initiative Project North Star began as Interloop restructured its business units to meet the evolving needs of global customers. The company transitioned from a decentralized to a centralized model, ensuring a unified approach to accounting and procurement management. To digitize its procurement function and drive transparency, efficiency, and cost savings, Interloop selected SAP Ariba for its comprehensive capabilities in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract lifecycle management, and performance tracking. The Ariba platform will enable Interloop to manage sourcing events more effectively, access a global pool of suppliers, and streamline procurement processes for greater control and accountability.

“Our goal was clear – to build a procurement function that reflects world-class standards while supporting our sustainability and digital ambitions. With SAP Ariba, we are not just automating processes – we are empowering strategic sourcing, enhancing supplier relationships, and enabling long-term value creation across the supply chain,” said Navid Fazil, CEO, Interloop Limited. “Interloop’s vision for a connected, transparent, and scalable procurement model aligns perfectly with what SAP Ariba is designed to deliver. Our Source-to-Contract Suite will significantly reduce sourcing cycle times, enhance process governance, and deliver tangible savings. More importantly, it positions Interloop as a leader in digital procurement innovation in Pakistan’s textile sector,” said Saquib Ahmad, Country Managing Director, SAP Pakistan, Bahrain, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The transformation also supports Interloop’s broader commitment to sustainable development, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. SAP Ariba’s capabilities in strategic sourcing and contract management will help ensure responsible and ethical procurement practices. With its strong global footprint, Interloop’s adoption of SAP Ariba sets a new benchmark for technology-led transformation in the region’s textile industry.

This move not only strengthens Interloop’s operational capabilities but also supports Pakistan’s export potential by driving competitive sourcing and increasing margins through cost optimization.
