LAHORE – Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that creating a business-friendly environment is the core vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. He made these remarks at the inaugural ceremony of the College of Tourism and Hotel Management (COTHM) exhibition at the Expo Centre on Saturday.
Speaking to a diverse audience, Rana Mashhood emphasized that Pakistan is making remarkable strides in development and offering a positive platform for industries across all sectors. “This is more than an exhibition—it is a glimpse into the future we envision for Pakistan’s industrial growth,” he said.
He lauded COTHM for successfully presenting an international-standard platform, introducing global food processing systems to Pakistan. “This step is vital for our agriculture-based economy to align its food production and processing capabilities with global benchmarks,” he added. Highlighting the scale of the event, Rana Mashhood noted that representatives from over 200 countries are participating, with more than 30 countries directly engaged. “The exhibition introduces a new concept in food processing, one that is crucial for showcasing Pakistan’s agri-products to the world,” he stated.
He congratulated the organizers and warmly welcomed the participating companies and international delegates. “COTHM has shown how partnerships can elevate our industry and promote Pakistan’s true talent, innovation, and technological potential,” he said. Rana Mashhood also referenced the successful achievement of the national objective Bunyan-um-Marsoos, calling it a milestone reached with dignity. “Now we set our sights on global economic leadership—in IT, technology, arts and culture, agriculture, and especially food processing,” he declared. He concluded by expressing confidence in Pakistan’s direction. “Today, we are moving firmly on the right path. With Allah’s grace, it is a path destined for success.”
