PMD predicts heavy rainfall and thunderstorms nationwide from August 4–7

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast increased monsoon activity, with rain, strong winds, and thunderstorms expected across several cities from August 4 to August 7.

The Met Office reports that Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas are likely to receive rainfall starting Monday. Other regions across the country may also experience similar weather patterns during this period.

Officials have warned of heightened monsoon intensity beginning August 4, with a risk of flash flooding in streams and nullahs, particularly in Rawalpindi and other flood-prone areas between August 5 and 7.

Residents in vulnerable locations have been urged to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures.
