VEHARI – A grand farewell ceremony was organised at the Ophthalmology Department of District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Vehari in honour of District Eye Surgeon Dr Ghulam Hussain Asif on the occasion of his retirement. Deputy Commissioner Vehari, Ms Imrana Tauqeer, was the chief guest at the event. Chief Executive Officer Health Dr Fahad Waheed, Medical Superintendent Dr Ahmad Faraz, along with doctors, nurses, and hospital staff, attended the ceremony. Speaking at the event, Deputy Commissioner Imrana Tauqeer paid rich tribute to Dr Ghulam Hussain Asif for his invaluable services. She stated that his contributions as an eye specialist are unforgettable. “Dr Asif performed his duties with dedication, hard work, and compassion, serving the public without discrimination,” she added. “It is heartening to see people honouring him with such respect and admiration.”On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner presented a commemorative shield to Dr Asif. Doctors, nurses, and staff members also offered bouquets and gifts to express their appreciation. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Imrana Tauqeer visited the Eye Ward to inspect the provision of medical facilities and expressed her satisfaction with the services.
